Bestseller in a Weekend celebrates its 3rd Year Anniversary this January 2014. Three years ago, Bestseller in a Weekend started at a Holiday Inn in South San Francisco when two dozen business owners gathered with Alicia Dunams all with one collective goal: to write a book.
To celebrate the anniversary, Alicia Dunams is partnering with PoP to raise money to build a school. POP is able to build one school with a donation of $25,000. Alicia is asking her audience, email list, Facebook and other social media community to donate 3 dollars each to fund at least one school at $25,000. (Alicia’s email list is 20,000 so if everyone donates that would be $60,000). This is an amazing opportunity to show the power of crowdsourcing and community.
Rewards: $3 For less than a Starbucks, you will help build 2 schools (when our community of 20,000 people contribute!) 60,000 builds two schools.
Rewards: Donate $50 and you will be featured on a “Thank you” blog entry with your name and website. (Plus, the aforementioned.)
Rewards Donate $100 and you will be featured a placard that will be hung at each school (Plus, the aforementioned.)
Pencils of Promise works with communities across the globe to build schools and create programs that provide education opportunities for children, no matter where they were born, or what resources they have. Pencils of Promise has broken ground on over 150 schools throughout Laos, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Ghana.
Education is a cause that’s truly important to me, so I’m excited to join the Pencils of Promise movement that empowers lives around the world by increasing access to quality education for children in the developing world.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by donating today. Just $25 allows Pencils of Promise to give a child access to education for one year.
Thank you for your support. Everyone has promise. Education unlocks it.
